The Great American Camp Out
Looking for a fun family tradition that you can create right in the comfort of your backyard? Look no more! Join Americans all over the country on Saturday, June 28, for the National Wildlife Federation’s Great American Backyard Campout. “Kids need to experience camping, especially in their youth when the wonders of the outdoors can influence their future love for nature and wildlife,” said Maureen Smith, chief marketing officer for National Wildlife Federation. We couldn’t agree more! Plus it’s a great opportunity for parents to disconnect and kids to put down the iPads® and Xboxes. So grab a tent, some sleeping bags, healthy (but yummy) snacks – we love Honest juice packs, Annie’s savory organic snacks and of course, gummy bears – and set up camp in your backyard! Here are some of our favorite necessities.
